At MEM Equestrian, we believe that your goals and journey with horses should not be limited to if you are able to afford your own horse or not. We have a variety of options available to meet your time constraints and budget. Our approach and philosophy to lessons and training is compassion and patience forward. Mistakes are ok and a natural part of learning. We try our best to make riding a fun, encouraging and positive experience.
Lessons
Regardless of if you are a beginner or more advanced, own your horse, want to lease or just take lessons on one of our lesson horses, we have many options to help you achieve your goals. Our lesson and training program puts a large emphasis on being biomechanically correct, building a proper foundation, and building a synonymous relationship between horse and rider.
Training
In our approach to training, we believe in creating a really solid foundation to move forward from. Foundations are extremely important to a horse's overall success. We assess each new training horse that comes in with a comprehensive groundwork and ridden assessment. We then create a plan and strategy based on your goals for you and your horse with realistic timelines. Whether it be a complete restart, some fine tuning, a change of career or specific training, we have you covered!
Clinics
At MEM Equestrian, we believe that riding is only part of the equestrian journey. Because of this, we offer year-round clinics taught by industry professionals to take our riding out of the saddle and learn about horsemanship, body work, farrier services, veterinary care, nutrition, rider biomechanics and out of saddle exercises and much more!
Shows
We believe that the desire to show is completely up to the student! Students are not required to show, but for those who are interested it is a really fun and educational experience! Our philosophy to shows is to have fun, learn and push ourselves a bit out of our comfort zones! Shows can be attended regardless of if you own, lease or are just in our lesson program.
